I've been making this eggnog since the late 70s. Wunnerful stuff.

My mother presented each of her children with a handwritten recipe book.  I have not attempted to make this bread.  Everyone loved this bread.  When it is still warm it is decadent.

Here is her bread recipe

                                                                       Butter and Egg Bread

In a large 10qt pot                                                                                       combine ingredients below in cover bowl to proof

1/2 cup sugar                                                                                                      3 packs of dry yeast 1
3tsp salt                                                                                                              1cup warm water
1 1/2 cup milk                                                                                                     1tsp sugar
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
Heat the above till very warm and butter is melted

3 eggs
12 to 13 cups of flour

Heat the first five ingredients in a large bowl
Add 4 cups of flour
beat added eggs beat after each
Add yeast mixture in
Add rest of flour 4 cups at a time
Beat thoroughly
Turn on bread board and knead 10 - 15 minutes
Put back into pam sprayed pot
Let it rise to double size
punch it down
let it rise again to double size
Pour out on to bread board and form loaves
Put into greased bread pans
Let rise til double or the top of the pan
Brush with beaten egg and water 3tbsp
Bake 375  for 30-35 minutes
